Registration is now closed for the Community Heroes Contest, part of the Direct Auto & Life Insurance celebration of Black History Month. An announcement of the Community Heroes Contest winners will follow in the coming days. Stay tuned!
Up to $2,250 of cash prizes will be awarded to outstanding citizens who are making a positive impact on their community through volunteer service, mentorship or dedication of their resources.
“We believe in celebrating diversity and inclusion among our employees, as well as the folks we serve,” said Jack Campbell, Chief Operations Officer. “In observing Black History Month, we want to create a platform that celebrates our customers and their communities. We feel that honoring the people who are going above and beyond to make a difference in those communities is a great way to do that.”
Nominations for the contest were submitted at Direct store locations and online at www.directgeneral.com/BHM between Jan. 18 and Feb 15. Now that registration for the contest is closed, a selection committee will review the nominations and reward three finalists.
In addition, the three individuals whose nominations are selected will receive a $100 gift card for their participation.
